1. Approval of September 27, 2023 Meeting Minutes
Motion to approve by Roby, seconded by Soliz. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Approval of Special Event Policy
Discussion. Motion to approve by Roby, seconded by Soliz. Motion carried unanimously.
3. Consideration of a Special Event Application for TBK Bank to utilize River Drive between I-74 Bridge Old River Drive, Bend Blvd, 3rd Street and 12th Avenue for the TBK Quad Cities Marathon. The event is to be held Friday, September 20, 2024 through Sunday, September 22, 2024 (including set-up and clean-up time). The event start time is 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
Discussion. Motion to approve by Roby, seconded by Cullison. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Consideration of a Special Event Application for the Project of the Quad Cities to utilize 17th Street, River Drive, 1st Street, 3rd Avenue, and the bike path to 17th Street for the Pride Week at Bass Street Event. The event is to be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (including set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
Discussion. McManus and Soliz to meet with event coordinators. Motion to approve by Soliz, seconded by Cullison.
Other Business
5. McManus shared upcoming application for “World Wide Food Truck” event.
6. McManus shared Special Events Internal Sign-Off form for staff to utilize throughout the special event process.
