Last week, the first organizational meeting for an upcoming Veteran/Senior Fair was held at the Old Dairy in Macomb. The event is scheduled to take place on September 9th from 9 a.m. until noon at the Spoon River College Community Center, located at 2500 E. Jackson Street in Macomb.
Rep. Norine Hammond and I are partnering with McDonough District Hospital and Western Illinois Home Health Care to organize this fair. "Mark your calendar and make plans to attend," said a spokesperson. The event aims to address the needs of veterans, senior citizens, and their caregivers.
Invitations will be sent to vendors later in July. Those interested in ensuring they receive an invitation are encouraged to contact the office.
