NEW BUSINESS
1. Executive Session Minutes and Recordings (Amy Jackson, Recording Secretary)
Explanation: The City Corporate Council has reviewed closed Executive Session Minutes and made recommendations.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends acceptance of the City Corporate Council’s recommendations.
2. Certification of the Police Officer Eligibility Register (Leah Madsen, Human Resources Director)
Explanation: The Police Officer Eligibility Register has been compiled with the results of the most recent recruitment testing.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the certification of the Police Officer Eligibility Register as presented.
3. Full-time Appointment of Police Officer (Darren Gault, Chief of Police)
Explanation: Officer Ryan Rochholz will complete his probationary period as a Police Officer effective February 28, 2025.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the full-time appointment of Police Officer Rochholz effective February 28, 2025; pending no concerns develop between today’s date and February 28, 2025.
4. Full-time Appointment of Police Officer (Darren Gault, Chief of Police)
Explanation: Officer Cooper Sant Amour will complete his probationary period as a Police Officer effective February 28, 2025.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the full-time appointment of Police Officer Sant Amour effective February 28, 2025; pending no concerns develop between today’s date and February 28, 2025.
5. Resignation Acceptance of Firefighter/Paramedic (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)
Explanation: Firefighter/Paramedic Edward Holtkamp submitted his notice of intent to resign on December 20, 2024, effective January 3, 2025.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends acceptance of the resignation of Firefighter/Paramedic Holtkamp effective January 3, 2025.
6. Request to Fill Firefighter/Paramedic Vacancy (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)
Explanation: Due to the resignation of Firefighter/Paramedic Edward Holtkamp, one vacancy exists in the rank of Firefighter/Paramedic.
Staff Recommendation: Staff requests authorization to fill the vacancy with one new Firefighter/Paramedic from the Firefighter/Paramedic Eligibility Register.
7. Probationary Appointment of Firefighter/Paramedic (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)
Explanation: Jack McAfoos (number twenty-seven candidate) on the current Firefighter/Paramedic Eligibility Register has successfully completed his background investigation.
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the probationary appointment of Firefighter/Paramedic Jack McAfoos effective January 20, 2025, contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
