City of Moline Special Events Committee met Jan. 22.

AGENDA ITEMS
1. Approval of the October 23, 2024 Meeting Minutes
2. Consideration of a Special Event Application for Mercado on 5th, Inc. to temporarily close 5th Avenue between 11th Street and 12th Street for the 2025 Mercado on 5th Summer Market Season. The events are to be held every Friday starting May 23, 2025 through September 26, 2025 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
3. Consideration of a Special Event Application for the Alzheimer’s Association to utilize River Drive from the Vibrant Arena parking lot and 1st Street. The route also includes the use of the Great River Trail to return back to the Vibrant Arena parking lot. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s event is scheduled to be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
4. Consideration of a Special Event Application for TBK Bank to utilize River Drive between I 74 Bridge Old River Drive, Bend Blvd, 3rd Street and 12th Avenue for the TBK Quad Cities Marathon. The event is to be held Friday, September 26, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. through Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. (including set up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
5. Consideration of a Special Event Application from Mercado on 5th, Inc. for the Día de los Muertos Parade scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025. This event requires temporary closure of River Drive from 12th Street to 19th Street between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (including set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
6. Consideration of a Special Event Application from Mercado on 5th, Inc. for the Día de los Muertos Market scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025. This event requires temporary closure of River Drive from 12th Street to 19th Street between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (including set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
