State Senator Neil Anderson | Illinois General Assembly
State Senator Neil Anderson will continue in his role as the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus Chair for the 104th General Assembly. Additionally, he will serve as the top Republican Spokesperson on three Senate Committees.
"I want to thank Leader John Curran for his trust and confidence in me to remain as Caucus Chair as we begin a new General Assembly," said Senator Anderson. "These past two years in the role have been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to keep pushing our caucus forward and making sure the people we represent have a strong voice in Springfield."
Senator Anderson will be the Minority Spokesperson on the Executive, Assignments, and Pension Committees. He is also set to be a member of several other committees including Agriculture, Energy and Public Utilities, Health and Human Services, and Insurance.
The Senate Executive Committee is pivotal in shaping significant legislation, often dealing with critical state issues. The Committee on Assignments plays an essential role by directing proposed bills to suitable committees.
"As the Senator representing all or parts of 15 counties—the most of any legislator in Illinois—I am committed to addressing the diverse economic and demographic needs of my district," said Senator Anderson. "It is an honor to continue advocating for the people of my district and our state as a whole."
Senator Anderson represents all or parts of Adams, Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Knox, Mason, McDonough, Menard, Mercer, Peoria, Rock Island, Schuyler, Stark, Tazewell, and Warren Counties.
