OLD BUSINESS:

      1. Approve ordinance O-25-01, a twenty-five (25) year non-exclusive electric supply, operation and maintenance franchise agreement with MidAmerican Energy Company.

      2. Approve ordinance O-25-02, a twenty-five (25) year non-exclusive natural gas supply, operation and maintenance franchise agreement with MidAmerican Energy Company.

NEW BUSINESS:

      1. Approve redeeming the City’s 14 Month CDs, held at Blackhawk Bank, at maturity February 13, 2025. The five CDs have the following estimated values: $1,058,909.56, $317,672.87, $211,781.91, $211,781.91, and $741,236.69.

      2. Approve the purchase of four, 6 Month CDs, at BankORION, with an APY of 4.50%, in the amounts of $317,672.87, $423,563.82, $741,236.69, and $847,127.65, with the following authorized signers; Mayor Donald Ropp and Alderman Larry Swemline.

      3. Discussion only – Elimination of the statewide grocery sales tax effective January 1, 2026. IML fact sheet and ordinance included in packet. Please review as this ordinance will be on the City Council agenda for approval February 24, 2025.

      4. Discussion only – Maquire Iron, Inc. – proposal for capital improvement program for water tower maintenance.

      5. Discussion only – Centrix Energy Partners – review Investment Grade Audit proposal for infrastructure and investment improvements.
