The Special City Council of the City of Geneseo was called to order on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present:
COUNCIL PRESENT: Council Bob James, Council Brett Barnhart, Mayor Sean Johnson, Council Martin Rothschild, Council Paula Simosky, Council Keith Kennett, Alderman Kent Swanson, and Alderman James Roodhouse
COUNCIL ABSENT: Council Craig Arnold
STAFF PRESENT: Director of Finance Jamie Matthews, City Administrator Brandon Maeglin, Director of IT Garrett Griswold, Attorney Derke Price, Deputy Chief of Police Kondon Karzin, Chief of Police Casey Disterhoft, Director of Public Works Chad VandeWoestyne, Building Inspector Rick Mills, City Clerk Paige Seibel, and Director of Electrical Operations Eric Rowold

City Ordinance allows members of the Public to speak and give input up to 3 minutes during Public Comment, there can be no debate or action by the City Council at this time.

3 Administration
3.1. Prairie Park Rules, Mapping, & Agreements
City Administrator Maeglin presented the Agenda adding there are two Resolutions attached to this line item one for terminating the original agreement with FORC from 2015 that has not been followed. Also the new terms and rules along with mapping and agreements. Adding people have come forward saying they would like to be a volunteers on the board. Pastor Palm also advised his church members have expressed great interest in helping keep the trails clean as community service.
Brett Barnhart moved, seconded by Bob James, Motion to approve R-25-09 & R-25-10.
