State Representative Dan Swanson (R-Alpha) recently welcomed Evelyn Wilbur, a 10th-grade student from Orion High School, to serve as a page for a day in the Illinois House of Representatives.

“I’m honored to have Evelyn Wilbur here as a page for a day,” Swanson said. “It is always great to have bright young future leaders from our district visit Springfield to see the legislature in action.”

Evelyn Wilbur is the daughter of David and Sharon Wilbur. She participates in various school activities, including varsity golf, band, jazz band, choir, syncopation, student council, culinary club, scholastic bowl, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Outside of school, she is involved with Faith Family Church in Orion and community organizations such as the Gray Matters Collective, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Orion Community Band. She also played on Representative Swanson’s golf team during a recent event for the Illinois Lyme Association.

This marks Evelyn’s second time serving as a House page in Springfield.
