Rock Island will meet Monday to consider a $56,000 expense for yard waste bags.
The City of Rock Island City Council will consider approving a bid for 160,000 yard waste bags that would cost the city $55,840 Monday, March 14, at Rock Island City Hall.
The bags would be used for this year's leaf pickup program.
Pabco Industries submitted the only bid.
The council will also vote on a number of other contracts, including a $351,080 contract inspection and engineering contract with Symbiont for the Sixth Avenue Relief Sewer Project; a $14,500 contract with Shive-Hattery Inc. to replace the roof on Fire Station No. 5; a $75,000 contract with NuCoat Sealing LLC for the 2016 Joint and Crack Sealing Program; and a $131,500 contract with Langman Construction for catch basin and manhole work.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. in City Council Chambers.
