City of Colona Council met September 25.

Pledge of Allegiance The pledge was led by Mayor Lack
Roll Call- Mayor Lack, Attorney Mason, Aldermen Feliksiak, Swemline,
Holman, Shady-Dahl, Jones, Clerk Winegar answered present Aldermen Hillman, King, Tapscott were absent Alderman King joined the meeting at 6:31 p.m.

Mayor's Report Mayor Lack informed those present that the City is in receipt of a letter from the FOP as a notice to bargain over the decision and impact of the enactment of 50 ILCS 727.11-25, which requires drug and alcohol testing after certain officer involved shootings. There will be negotiations in the near future.
Approval of Minutes Alderman Shady-Dahl made a motion to approve the September 11, 2017 minutes of the City Council Meeting. Alderman Feliksiak seconded. Roll call: Aldermen Feliksiak, Swemline, Holman, Shady-Dahl, Jones voted yes. Aldermen Hillman, Tapscott were absent. Alderman King passed. Motion passed with 5 affirmative votes, 2 absent, 1 paSS.
Consent Agenda
Alderman King made a motion to approve consent agenda items:
1. Payment of manual bills for the period September 12-25 2017 2. Payment of bills for the period September 12-25 2017 3. Payroll for the period September 11–25, 2017
Alderman Holman seconded. Roll call: Aldermen Swemline, Holman, Shady-Dahl, Jones, King, Feliksiak voted yes. Aldermen Hillman, Tapscott were absent. Motion passed with 6 affirmative votes, 2 absent.
Committee Reports Public Safety: (Alderman Holman, chair, Aldermen Shady-Dahl, Tapscott, members; M.

Clerks Report Clerk Winegar informed those present that a new administrative clerk has been hired and will be starting on October 2, 2017. She also stated that the temporary clerks have been giving us a great effort on keeping the office running Smooth.
Old Business Alderman Feliksiak brought up complaints about the noise at Grease Monkey's over the weekend. Alderman Holman stated as part of his summary of the Public Safety Committee's meeting that a noise policy had been brought to the Committee, and a copy furnished to all aldermen, and that the committee will be reviewing the policy over the next months for a possible ordinance,
New Business Alderman Holman made the motion to approve the contracts between the Police Department and mobile home park owners to allow the police to patrol and enforce both City ordinances and State statutes within the parks. Alderman Swemline seconded. Roll call: Aldermen Holman, Shady-Dahl, Jones, King, Feliksiak, Swemline voted yes. Aldermen Hillman, Tapscott were absent. Motion passed with 6 affirmative votes, 2 absent.
