Board Members Present: Chairman Fuhr, Mr. Van Daele, Ms. Parrish, Mr. Brown, Mr. DeLoose, and Mr. Boyd.
Staff Present: Gregory Thorpe, Doug Moslehi
The meeting was called to order at 6:02 P.M.
A motion was made to approve the October 4th, 2017 minutes. The motion was made by Mr. Brown, and seconded by Mr. Van Daele. A voice vote was taken, motion carried.
CASE: VZ-17-007 VARIANCE ROBYN STRADT The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing at the request of ROBYN STRADT to build a covered corner porch addition that encroaches on the front yard set-back. There were no objectors present. A motion was made to approve the request. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Mr. Brown - Yes; Ms. Parrish – Yes; Mr. Boyd – Yes; and Mr. Van Daele– Yes. Motion carried.
CASE: SU-17-215 SPECIAL USE PERMIT JON & SHELLY ANOTHONY The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing at the request of JON & SHELLY ANTHONY in order to have a Special Use Permit for a Density Increase. A motion was made to approve the request. The motion was made by Mr. Van Daele and seconded by Mr. Boyd. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Mr. Brown - Yes; Ms. Parrish – Yes; Mr. Boyd – Yes; and Mr. Van Daele– Yes. Motion carried.
CASE: RZ-17-005 REZONING KENNETH WRIGHT The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing at the request of KENNETH WRIGHT to consider a rezoning from Ag-s General Agricultural District to SE-2, Suburban Estates Medium Density District. There were no objectors present. A motion was made to approve the request by Mr. Brown and seconded by Ms. Parrish. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Mr. Brown - Yes; Ms. Parrish – Yes; Mr. Boyd – Yes; and Mr. Van Daele– Yes. Motion carried.
CASE: RZ-17-113 REZONING JOEL & SONIA GRAFTON The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing at the request of JOEL & SONIA GRAFTON to consider a rezoning from AG-1 Agricultural Preservation to SE-2 Suburban Estates Medium Density. There were no objectors present. A motion was made to approve the request by Mr. Brown and seconded by Ms Parrish. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Mr. Brown - Yes; Ms. Parrish – Yes; Mr. Boyd – Yes; and Mr. Van Daele– Yes. Motion carried.
The following Finding of Facts from October 4th, 2017 was approved with a motion by Mr. VanDaele and second by Mr. Brown. A voice vote was taken, motion carried.
