Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Annawan Village Board met at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in the Village Hall.

2018-2019 Budget:

Board members went over the budget numbers and the wish list included in the budget numbers to decide which ones would stay and which ones would be set aside for another year. The Water Dept Budget allows for a hydrant replacement, GPS GIS IRWA work, and a soft start aerator in addition to the previously budgeted items. A police car will not be purchased during this fiscal year. Added to the Police Budget were wish list items: Trauma kits, Portable Radio, Bullet Proof Vest, desk chair and office phone. Costs of design plans for a new police building will be put back into the budget if money can be saved from other lines of the budget. Denied in the street budget was the purchase of a snow plow for the 2017 pickup. The blue pickup and plow owned by the village will be sold. Wish list items for the Sewer Dept will be looked at throughout the year, and will depend on revenue from monthly sewer receipts. Sturtewagen, seconded by Heisler, made a motion to accept the budget prepared by Nathan Stout, with all changes discussed previously. Motion passed.

TIF Applications:

Front Street Tap was granted a TIF award of $300 (50% of their request) for a new door. Lynn Williams

was denied his TIF award for 2018-2019 until the award granted for 2017-2018 has been completely used. Board members agreed that the Village TIF application form needs to be worked on.

Sumps on Dhamers Ave:

Maintenance is needed to two sumps on Dhamers Ave. The project can be paid for with TIF money. Heisler, seconded by Rico, made a motion to approve the project at an approximate cost of $17,500. Motion passed.

Adjournment:

There being no further business, Sturtewagen, seconded by Rico, made a motion to adjourn. Motion passed.
