Touch of Nature Environmental Center recently issued the following announcement.
A Tennessee man is dead after a fatal traffic crash in Williamson County on Monday morning, according to the Illinois State Police.
Jermaine T. Jackson, 41, of Chattanggoa, Tennessee, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Williamson County Coroner at about 2:08 a.m.
State police say Jackson was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Interstate 57 near mile marker 55 when he went off the road to the right. Jackson then over corrected and lost control of the vehicle and struck the guard rail.
Lytece D. Grinnage, 28, and Navaeh C. Williams, 14, both of Chattanooga, were passengers. Williams was taken to a local hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries and Grinnage reported no injuries.
State police reported the cause of the accident as driver fatigue and improper lane usage.
