Black Hawk Community College recently issued the following announcement.
2 women wearing BHC Braves softball sweatshirtsThe Black Hawk College Braves softball players will host their annual taco dinner fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 5 from 2-6 p.m. at American Legion Post #227, 829 16th Ave., East Moline. Cost will be $7 for an order of tacos and dessert.
There also will be 50/50 drawings, auction items, raffle prizes and a cash bar.
Auction items include Chicago White Sox tickets, two pairs of women’s Under Armour running shoes, pair of Under Armour cleats, Black Hawk College softball apparel (jackets, sweatshirts and T-shirts), Quad City Storm tickets, liquor baskets, tools, knife set, sunglasses, women’s half-zip Nike wind jacket and pullover, golf items and lawn decorations.

The Black Hawk College Softball Taco Dinner Fundraiser has been an annual event for more than 20 years. Money raised will be used for the team’s spring trip, equipment and softball facility.
