Bishop Hill State Historic Site recently issued the following announcement.
In order to cut down the water leaking into the basement, the BHHA is doing some landscaping around the Colony Store.
We especially have an issue with water being trapped by the sidewalk on the east side. So we are adding additional dirt, a rubber matting, and rocks so the water will hopefully flow onto the sidewalk and away from the building.
