Blackhawk Fire Protection District responded to 37 calls in 2018 - 24.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Blackhawk included 32 fires - 17 structure fires, one vehicle fire and 14 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $38,200 in fire loss - or about $1,194 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.
