East Moline City Fire District responded to 195 calls in 2018 - 7.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in East Moline City included 82 fires - 33 structure fires, 18 vehicle fires and 31 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $869,392 in fire loss - or about $10,602 per fire.

The department also received 110 false calls, including 20 malicious calls and 90 other false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury, 18 civilian non-fire injuries and one civilian fire-related death. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and two were injured in non fire-related incidents.
