Report: Sherrard School District spent $10,829 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Sherrard Community Unit School District 200 was up 6.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Rock Island County school district spent $10,207 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,829 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,473 to 1,421 students over the same period.

Sherrard's spending in 2019-20 was 25.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
