Analysis: Moline Coal Valley administrators rank 206th in state for average pay

Administrators in Moline Coal Valley Community Unit School District 40 earn an average of $116,848 per year, ranking 206th out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 6.4 percent higher than in 2016 and 0.1 percent higher than in 2011. District administrators make 5 percent more than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.
