City of Colona Committee of the Whole met March 27.

MAYOR’S REPORT: Discuss removing Committee meetings and retaining Committee of a Whole, due to time constraints for the amount of meetings.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

● Approve minutes of the Monday, February 27, 2023 Committee of the Whole Meeting (Alderman Stablein made the motion, Alderman Lack seconded the motion, roll call was not done).

● Approve minutes of the Monday, March 13, 2023 Committee of the Whole Meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Alderman Lack, chair; Aldermen Painter, Stablein, members; Economic Development Administrator Holman, staff. Regularly scheduled meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month, at 6:00pm. A copy of the minutes will be available at City Hall and on the City’s website.

FINANCE/ADMIN: Alderman Stablein, chair; Aldermen Shady-Dahl, Swemline, members; Finance Director Jen Legare, staff. Regularly scheduled meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of the month, at 3:30pm. A copy of the minutes will be available at City Hall and on the City’s website

1. Proposed Budget FY 2023-2024.

2. City banking relationships, FDIC insurance coverage, pledged securities.

PUBLIC SAFETY: Alderman Painter, chair; Aldermen Barrett, Cole, members; Chief Swemline, L. LaMantia, staff. Regularly scheduled meetings are held the 4th Thursday at 2:30pm. A copy of the minutes will be available at City Hall and on the City’s website.

1. Discuss: Keeping Junk Restricted: 5-2-4-6.
