The meeting was called to order at 9:05 A.M.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Phil Fuhr, Michael Lucky and Kathy Parrish. STAFF PRESENT: Kelly Humphrey, Gregory Thorpe
A reading of procedures was handled by staff.
A motion was made to approve the January 17, 2024 minutes. The motion was made by Mr. Fuhr and seconded by Ms. Parrish. A voice vote was taken, motion carried.

DAWN STEVENSON-REED & RYAN REED VARIANCE
The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing at the request of DAWN STEVENSON-REED & RYAN REED (owners) to consider a variance of section 3-2-8.4.A of the Rock Island County Code of Ordinances to allow the total square feet of accessory buildings to be 1,500 sq ft larger than the primary structure as allowed in Section 3-2-6.G.6. There were no objectors present. A motion was made to approve the request with conditions by Ms. Parrish and seconded by Mr. Luckey. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Ms. Parrish – Yes; & Mr. Luckey – Yes. Motion carried.

JAMES HEATON REZONING
The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing at the request of JAMES HEATON (owner) to consider a rezoning from AG-2, General Agricultural District to SE-2, Suburban Estates Medium Density District. There were objectors present. A motion was made to approve the request by Ms. Parrish and seconded by Mr. Luckey. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Ms. Parrish – Yes; & Mr. Luckey – Yes. Motion carried.
The following Finding of Facts from January 17, 2024 were approved with a motion by Ms. Parrish and seconded by Mr. Fuhr. A voice vote was taken, motion carried.

The next hearing will be April 17, 2024. Three cases are scheduled currently.
