There were 1,169 white students enrolled in Mercer County school districts in the 2021-22 school year, 1.5% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that white students made up 93.1% of the 1,255 students in Mercer County during the 2021-22 school year. They were the most represented ethnicity.

Mercer County School District 404 was the only district in the county which enrolled white students, welcoming 1,169 students in the 2021-22 school year.
