Rock Island County Governance, Health, and Administration Committee met Dec. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairwoman Enburg called the Governance, Health & Administration to order at 10:00am

1. Roll Call: Carla Enburg, Drue Mielke, Johnnie Woods, Melissa Moreno Baker Absent: Enyo Dewith, Porter McNeil

Also present: Richard Brunk, Nick Camlin, Karen Kinney, April Palmer, Jared VanTieghem, Captain Mindy Meyers, Jim Nelson, Jim Grafton, Tammy Muerhoff, Bridget Edgeworth, Tammy Weikert, Austin Carlson

2. Public Comment: None

3. Approval of the minutes from November 12th Governance, Health & Administration meeting

4. Reports to Committee

Captain Mindy Meyers reported on the annual Shop with the Sheriff at the Silvis WalMart on Thursday December 12th at 4:00pm

County Recorder Kelly Fisher reported on an Ordinance that will clean up some language on the bill for predictable fees that was passed about a year ago by the Governor’s Office, this neglected to address the fees we charge for State Agency’s. So, this ordinance will clean up that language. So, with State Agency’s we can charge what a regular fee is. It goes into effect February 1st 2025. County Clerk Karen Kinney as vital records report. And a report on the next election, the consolidated primary will be February 25th, 2025. Which will be pretty much just Silvis. The Consolidated Municipal election will be April 1, 2025.
