The Rock Island City Council is expected to vote on whether to approve a new agreement with Genesis for on-site medical services for city staff at its next meeting at 6:45 p.m. Monday in City Hall Council Chambers, third floor, 1528 Third Ave.
The city previously had a similar agreement with Concentra to administer its on-site program, but decided to look for other providers after three consecutive years of cost increases.
If approved, Genesis would provide on-site clinical services, staff physicals, drug screenings and other services through 2018, with two one-year options to renew after that.
At the same meeting, the city will review requests for several St. Patrick's Day events, including a request by Gunchies R.I. for permission to have live outdoor entertainment on March 12 for one night, as well as permission to sell alcohol at the event.
Kavanaugh's Hilltop Tavern is seeking permission to have live outdoor entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights from March through October.
