United Township school district plans to hear budget amendments at its next meeting.
A public hearing regarding the tentative amended budget for United Township High School District 30 is slated to begin at 6 p.m. on April 11 at the UTHS administrative center building located in East Moline.
The hearing is identified as a QCC TEC Amended Budget hearing. The budget pertains to the Quad City CTE Consortium, serving the 16 districts of Alwood, Annawan, Cambridge, Galva, Geneseo, Kewanee, Mercer County, Moline, Orion, Riverdale, Rock Island, Rockridge, Sherrard, Stark County, United Township and Wethersfield.
United Township High School District #30, based at 1275 Avenue of the Cities in East Moline, comprises schools in Rock Island and Henry Counties. Meetings generally take place in the boardroom. This upcoming meeting is classified as a regular meeting with an amended budget hearing.
The budget focuses on the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015, and ending June 30, 2016, including itemized revenues and expenses in an extensive and thorough report, including grants, subsidies and services of all kinds.
Jay Morrow serves as the district’s superintendent of schools. Current board members include Larry Morgensen, Donald Sproul, President Susan Koska, Vice President Janice Allison, Secretary Wendy Verschoore, Sue Ickes and Harry Arvanis. The board typically meets once a month.
