Augustana right fielder Carter Amundsen made the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Seven First Team, according to the school's athletic website.
Amundsen, a junior from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, batted .378 with 33 runs, 27 RBIs and 27 doubles in the first 37 games this season, with a .466 slugging percentage and .472 on-base percentage. Also, he had 18 multi-hit games in that span to go with a .975 fielding percentage.
In the classroom, Amundsen, an accounting and business-finance major, has a 3.97 grade-point average. He has served as an intern in Wisconsin at Priority Sign as well as Lakeshore Chinooks Baseball and Kapco Metal Stamping. Amundsen also is the Augustana Business Club treasurer.
The team consists of 12 players from NCAA Division III schools from Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Players named to the first team go on the national ballot.
