City of Colona Public Works Committee met December 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Committee Chairman - Larry Swemline-absent, Tom Jones, Tom Feliksiak

Also present Rick Crew, Janelle Nicewanner

In the audience Were Joe SWan, Barb Smh and Jan Miller

Public Comments -

1. Chris, Loren Rains our engineer & I met with Ki Worth and his staff about the Stonebridge Subdivision. They are getting plans and permits together for our review to get started. We need to make sure that there is an agreement in place to cover city's inspection fees and all bonding.

2. We went with River Valley Turf's quote on the mowers at $33,850.00 plus trade in's this is $2150.00 lower than approved.

3. I had a complaint about Jackson Disposal - throwing cans and damaging them. I called Jackson and talk to them about it. The customer that complained did call back and Said that this Week Was better and their Can Was not thrown.

4. We had a water main leak on Sullivan Drive, this is now repaired.

5. Building permit fees & structure - discuss. It was agreed by Committee that the water/sewer hook on fees and cost of the new meter needs to be paid for by the general contractor or the home owner at the time of getting the permit to build the new home.

6. Public works needs a new backhoe. Committee recommends that Rick can get new quotes and would like to put the new back hoe on a payment plan.

7. Rick Will be on Vacation December 27.28,29th

8. Jan Miller, Barb Smith, and Joe Swan attended to meeting; they would like to have a long term agreement for the food pantry.

1. All of the water, sewer & electrical has been done, we are waiting for MidAmerican to Set a transformer.
