City of Colona Colona Public Safety Committee met May 16.

Attendance
Present: Alderman King, Alderman Shady-Dahl, Chief Swemline and Laura LaMantia.
Absent: Alderman Tapscott.
Reports/Communication
March Stats were distributed:
453 Calls for service
$2,750.00 Admin Tow fees
$25.00 Animal pick up
$800.00 City Ordinance
$158.00 Misc fees
Old Business
Chief Swemline advised Officer Dusenberry is about halfway through K9 Training.
Training ends 4/27/18.
Chief advised the Sgt. promotion is still on hold and will possibly be looked at in May.
New Business
Chief Swemline will be in training May 21-24th.
Chief Swemline has advised that he has applied for and received grants from DOT and will be conducting a cell phone safety campaign.
Alderman King made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Shady-Dahl seconded, motion passed.
Meeting adjourned at 4:20 pm.
