The data shows that six men and two women were released in Colona. The median age of the parolees was 43. The youngest parolee was a 32-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016, and the oldest was a 59-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Robert Devenney. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2008 when he was 29 years old. He is now 40.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
