Bishop Hill Heritage Association recently issued the following announcement.
If you have an IRA account that requires you to take a minimum distribution each year, you can avoid paying income tax on that distribution by directing the trustee of the IRA to make a payment directly to an eligible charitable organization.
The Bishop Hill Heritage Association is an eligible 501 (c) (3) organization. The Heritage is dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of the Bishop Hill Colony. Please consider contacting the trustee of your IRA to make a charitable contribution to the BHHA. The BHHA’s mailing address is PO Box 92, Bishop Hill, IL 61419.
