FOIA Request to City of Silvis Regarding New and Active Residential and Commercial Building Permits on October 30, 2024.
Rock Island Today, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140) to the City of Silvis. The request was made for records detailing all new residential and commercial building permits issued from January 1, 2023, until the present date.
The requested information includes specific fields such as the type of permit, date issued, fee paid, requester's name, address of the property in question, and contractor's name. In addition to this data for new permits, we have also asked for similar details regarding all active residential and commercial building permits along with their current status.
