Call to Order
Park Board President, Bill Abel, called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. in the Public Works Conference Room.
Roll Call
Public Comment
Robert Jump emailed (a) public comment and appeared in person to speak. He has requested that the Park Board add a flag pole at Riverside Park near Riverside Riverslide and the pickleball courts to replace the previous pole that was removed during Riverside Riverslide construction. He stated that the materials, American flag and installation would all be donated.
Approval of Minutes and Consent Agenda Items
Approval of the Park Board Meeting Minutes of September 26, 2024.
Approval and acceptance of departmental September/October bill payment and departmental September/October revenue, expenditures, capital projects, park reserve and cemetery reports.
Omnibus Vote
John Knaack, seconded by Thomas Schwarz, moved to approve items by omnibus vote. Motion carried with unanimous approval.
Non-Consent Agenda Items
Approval of the 2025 Park Board Meeting Dates. Park Board meeting dates for the 2025 calendar year are as follows: January 23, February 27, March 27, April 24, May 22, June 26, July 24, August 28, September 25, October 23 and December 4. There is no fiscal impact. Staff recommended approval. John Knaack motioned to approve, motion seconded by Betsy Greenlee. Motion carried unanimously.
2025-2027 Budget Approval. The proposed three-year budget has been reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Department, City Finance Department and the City Administrator’s Office. This budget, if approved will be part of the budget discussion with City Council. Staff recommended approval. Rico Navarro motioned to approve, motion seconded by Betsy Greenlee. Motion carried unanimously.
