As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, Rock Island Today has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the City of East Moline. We are seeking access to records concerning businesses registered with the city in the past week. The requested information includes key details such as Business Name, Business Number, Business Type, Business Address, Issued Date, Status, and Registered Agent Name.
Our objective is to gather and report news that holds public institutions accountable and provides transparency to the public. Access to these public records is essential for fulfilling our professional responsibilities. As media professionals involved in disseminating information, we believe we qualify for a fee waiver under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
Additionally, we are affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Missouri Corporation.
