a. Rock Island County collected 40.72 tons of tires through the Illinois EPA’s collection event in December. 40.72 tons of tires is equivalent to 19,240 passenger tires. Of the participating counties, Peoria County was the only county to collect more tires than Rock Island County, they collected 42.49 tons.
