City of Silvis Parks, Building and Grounds Committee met May 1.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
Chairman Joshua Dyer called the Committee meeting and noted that a quorum was in attendance Members present: Joshua Dyer, Larry York and Tony Trulson.
Also present Kathy Hall, Caryn Unsicker, Bob Rockwell, Rick Lohse Mayor Matt Carter and Clerk Jim Nelson
Chairman Dyer called the meeting to order at 5:50pm and noted that the purpose for the meeting was to discuss the letter of intent with Blue Sky Solar. Alderman York noted that he did not understand why there was a letter of intent and what was it for. Alderman Dyer announced that the letter of intent was to allow Blue Sky Solar get the information needed to consider them as the provider of Solar Panels for the City of Silvis. Alderman Dyer explained that basically the letter of intent allows for a period of 180 days before the City of Silvis negotiate with any other company with another company and that is the exclusivity. Alderman Dyer explained that the representatives from Blue Sky Solar will be at the meeting later to answer any other questions. It was recommended by the committee to move this item to the 1 May Agenda for further discussion.
There were no other agenda items for discussion and the meeting adjourned at 5:59.
