PUBLIC COMMENTS:

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT:

1. The City received a check for $17,188.98 from FEMA as reimbursement for our flood expenses. The check will be deposited in general funds.

2. The City received 4 bids to replace the generator at City Hall. They are: Rock River Electric $11,887.50; Jackson Generator Services $11,020.33; Koehler Electric $10,500 plus the cost of connecting the natural gas piping; and Blackhawk Electric $11,750.00. The committee recommends accepting the bid from Jackson Generator Services who is the low bidder and the only company to offer a 7- year warranty.

3. The City is allowing the “snow birds” to move into their campers at CSFP. There are approximately 10 “snow birds”. The committee is in favor of giving the seasonal campers a refund on a daily basis based on complying with the state mandates.

4. The 2020 CCR reports have been filed with the state and are posted on the City’s website.

5. The City paid $517.67 to EMS to clean paper products out of the Kershaw lift station.

6. The committee discussed purchasing air purifiers for City buildings. The City has 3-5 ton air handling units, 2 at City Hall and 2 at the Police Department. There is a cost of $100.00 per unit for maintenance. The City would need to purchase two units each for City Hall and the Police Department. The committee tabled this issue until receiving exact price.
