City of Colona Public Works Committee met March 5.

CALL TO ORDER: 5:10 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
PUBLIC WORKS REPORT:
1. A spec home was built at 621 Rock Point Road and the developer has an issue with the City's policy of charging a minimum water bill until the home is sold. The committee is in favor of waiving the policy for the developer, however, what is the council's feeling on waiving just this one home?
2. The committee decided to table the deck replacement at CSFP. 3. The committee is in favor of having a spring clean-up for appliances and furniture and also for electronics for $1.00 each. Tire drop-off will be accepted with the price depending on the size. No paint or household chemicals will be accepted. Clean-up dates will be Friday, April
3, 2020 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.
4. The new meter reader has resigned.
5. The City is accepting applications for seasonal employees for public works and CSFP. Three seasonal employees will be hired for CSFP and11 for other public works departments for a total of 14 seasonal employees.
