Q1 2022 Recap: 2 parolees from Rock Island County convicted of homicide set for release

There were two offenders convicted of homicide living in Rock Island County released on parole during the first quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Rock Island Today.

The data shows a man and a woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for homicide was 46. The younger parolee was a 33-year-old man sentenced in 2021, and the oldest was a 59-year-old woman sentenced in 2009.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Angela S. Daum. She was convicted in 2009 when she was 45 years old. She is now 59.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
