1. *South Parking Lot – discussion/potential voting options

a. Proceed with contract as signed; may have legal ramifications.

b. Allow for an easement with current owners.

c. Scrap the project, ask for refund for surveying and lawyer fees.

2. *Motion to approve Bylaw changes reviewed at the April 18, 2023, meeting.

XI. New Business

1. Swearing in reappointed Trustees:

I do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the State of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Trustee according to the best of my ability.

2. Revise Board Committees, new appointments

3. HVAC Replacement at the Southwest Branch – Discussion

4. * Motion whether or not to keep My Neighbor Hayo: Art Inspired by the Films of Miyazaki on the shelf at the Watts-Midtown Branch, without restriction.

5. * Motion to accept the Jim Moore painting, donated by Rollie Erickson, and hang it at the Watts-Midtown Library, with provenance.

6. * Motion to approve Resolution 2023 – 01 to keep Closed Session minutes confidential.

a. This vote will happen after you come out of the planned Executive Session.

7. Discussion of April door counts document.

a. Reminder: When the hours were changed prior to opening Watts-Midtown, the Board wanted to revisit the new hours 6 months after the implementation (which was October 2022.)

b. If new hours are proposed, a vote can occur at the June meeting. If it is the Board’s prerogative to keep the current hours, please choose a month to revisit (potentially October?)
